IRFC and its business status today as a corporate identity is present since the last five decades. Father, late Shri. Ramkaran Gupta was a great visionary and was one of the renowned names in the transport industry besides being a leading industrialist. The Government of India honored him posthumously for his dedicated service to the transport industry by an award in 2004, by the then surface transport minister Shri Saheb Singh in Delhi.
Under the leadership of Mr. Mahipal Ramkaran Gupta (Managing Partner) IRFC has traversed many milestones and has become a pioneer in the industry because of its policies, performance and stringent standards.
